When I first started building my home based MLM business I would do all of the things that I could find that were free. It took a lot of time and produced very little results. The reason I didn't see lots of results is because of the competition that exists for all the free programs and tools. There are 1,000's and 1,000's of people attempting to build a business either on-line or with Multi-Level Marketing, with all those people using only the free resources that means that it is extremely challenging to make your opportunity stand out.

I wasted a lot of time and got no where. Fortunately, I did learn a lot, but never enough to be really successful in what I wanted to do. A lot of people, friends included thought I was crazy, building "that MLM" business. It was only when I actually started paying for resources and coaching that my business started to move. 

 

In MLM the person you chose to be your team leader is very important because they are the one that is going to take you by the hand and teach you how to build a business. However there are tons of team leaders who are that in name only and they really don't know how to build a business so there is no way they can teach you. That was the case for me.

I finally came to the realization that my business was mine to build, any way that I wanted to. I started looking for successful people who were doing business the way I wanted to do business. I came across lots of "duds" along the way, spent more money than was necessary but learned lots of excellent lessons.

You too need to find someone you know, like and trust in order to build your home based business. Do your research, find people with similar interests because you will be spending the next 5 years, at least, with these people. Check out the team, ask questions and learn about your own strengths and weakness before you get started.
