The 5 Sequential Steps to Successful Blogging

Keywords will determine the success and rate of your blog ranking in search engines, complimented with relevant and interesting content. Keywords should populate your blog in the same manner it does your website. This means that at least two keywords you wish to rank for should appear in your blog domain name, blog title and blog post contents. That is why when you decide to start a blog, it is best to use the Google Trends tool, by simply typing Google Trends into your browser and follow the first link provided on the search page.

Once your keyword research is done and you're confident that the keywords you select are high converting and in demand. Only then will you select your domain name with your keywords in the domain. This may turn out to take a while because the keywords you wish to rank for, may already have been used in the exact sequence you are using them. When this happens you need to be creative and shuffle your keywords around a bit, perhaps alter them a little in order to register a unique domain name.

As for your domain name, your blog title must also contain the keywords as mentioned earlier. Once your domain and blog title are all set, you will be ready to post. This is where it gets interesting because all major blogging sites offer free tools to schedule your blog posts. Do not share affiliate links on your blog because you will seldom find successful affiliate marketers doing that. Your blog must be where you share ideas and inspire desire through your content, you do not sales pitch. Only schedule a maximum of 1 post per day with targeted, relevant and interesting content.

Successful Affiliate Marketers only share links to either their own products, own websites, own blogs and personal email lists. That is how they rake in the huge commissions, and their content is always original and useful. Share the link to your own website in every blog post signature, and no other links because your blog post content must relate to your website. Basically your reader go from your blog, to your website and finally onto your email list via your web-form on your website.

Also provide a sign-up option to your blog so you gain followers and readers who will be notified of each new post. This is a great way to get a conversation going on your blog, and if your content is useful it will result in more followers and more shares of your content.
